What It Was Like To Ride In The 2011 Montrose Christmas Parade

This was my second time riding in the parade and I thought you might like to know what it was like. Here Ken Grayson (center) met up with Dale and I at Mountain Rose Gifts. We represented the MSPA (Montrose Shopping Park Association).
Former board member Carole Brookshire joined us as we were shuttled to the VIP area.
Our pass to the VIP tent. We enjoyed a catered buffet by Dream Dinners. Here is who we met inside:
Actor John Ingle of "General Hospital"
Radio Host Mike Sakellarides, 94.7 "The Wave"
The Merle Norman sisters Kris & Kim looking great in their new "Hussy" lipstick.
Captain David Silversparre, CV Sheriff Dept., and his wife Kristen
 Miss LaCanada Flintridge and court
Glendale Police Chief Ron DePompa, wife Carol, and daughter Dena
Montrose Verdugo Chamber of Commerce President Scott Trulik and sons
Grand marshals Jack & Helen Nethercutt, owners of Merle Norman Cosmetics and the Netthercutt museum, riding in their "Hussy" car.
An up close look at this fabulous car.
Ready for "takeoff"
Now it's our turn to travel in style. We were escorted by Don Tucker and his beautiful horse drawn wagon. This is the same carriage that was used for Mickey Rooney when he was the Grand Marshal.
Our banner helping to spread the message
"SHOP MONTROSE"
It was fun wishing all the parade goers a
"Merry Christmas"!
Our town tree, alive and well after the wind storms earlier in the week.
Glendale Mayor Laura Friedman
The end to another magical Montrose night!
