It Pays To SHOP MONTROSE and Read CV Weekly

 This year we put a cherry on the top of the Arts & Crafts Festival "cake". Two cherries actually. For every $50 shoppers spent in our stores and restaurants they got to enter a drawing for a $200 Shopping Spree! We gave away one each day of the festival. Here one of our favorite local artists, Deike Brandt, drew the winning ticket.

Winner Barbara Regnier read our column in the Business Section of The Crescenta Valley Weekly and was motivated to buy some shoes at her favorite shoe store, Walk This Way, so she could enter the raffle.

 Winner Kathy Stoll happened to be shopping at Revelation TOPS when owner Carole Brookshire told her about the raffle and how to enter.

 As you can see Kathy and her sister didn't let the winnings burn a hole in their pocket. They enjoyed their $200 shopping spree the next weekend.

The Montrose Shopping Park has over 150 "one of a kind" shops, salons, and cafes for you to enjoy. This Summer several of our stores are staying open later on Friday nights and there is LIVE street music! A great way to start the weekend!

Home of NATIONAL FLAG WEEK

This is National Flag Week, June 14 is National Flag Day and it all started right here in the Montrose Shopping Park with this man, Sir Vito Cannella!

 Vito's name has Sir in front of it because he was knighted through his home country of Italy. Back in 1965 Vito, who faithfully works at the Montrose Barber Shop, and other local businessmen petitioned congress to set aside time to honor our flag. During National Flag Week all U.S. citizens are encouraged to display their American Flags.

 In the Montrose Shopping Park we are proudly displaying old glory. Our marketing committee began making plans months ago to wrap our light-posts, display flag banners, and create these original patriotic displays throughout the Shopping Park for you and your family to enjoy.

We invite you to SHOP & Dine in the one and only Montrose Shopping Park, Glendale's Official Old Town. Oh, and don't forget to bring your flag!

Memorial Day Ceremony 2014

 These flags, at the corner of Honolulu and Ocean View,  commemorate those from the Crescenta-Canada Valley who have given their lives in military service.

 The names of these men are listed on our Vietnam War Memorial, the oldest one in the nation.

 This year's ceremony was organized and hosted by the Montrose Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce (Pat Longo, left) and the Montrose Shopping Park ( Steve Pierce, center, Dale Dawson).

 Bagpiper Bobby Kilgore introduces the ceremony by crossing Honolulu Ave. playing "Amazing Grace".

 Men in uniform, neighbors, politicians, merchants, and scouts gather together to honor those that gave their lives for our freedom.

 Congressman Adam Schiff, State Assemblyman Mike Gatto, Glendale Mayor Zareh Sinanyan, L.A. County Supervisor Mike Antonovich, and Glendale City Council members Frank Quintero and Laura Friedman were part of the ceremony.

On this day the flag flies at half mast.
