If there was ever a day to
invite your friends and family to Montrose, it’s May 1st, 2016 for
Wags n Whiskers, Kids & Kritters. The event goes from 9AM – 2PM and is
guaranteed fun for the whole family (furry kids included)!
In conjunction with the Montrose
Harvest Market, this year’s festivities include a Wild Wonders Exotic Petting
Zoo, Kids Fun Zone, “Early” Cinco de Mayo, First Responders Area, Young
Entrepreneurs, Taste of Montrose and the Wags-N-Whiskers Walk for the Glendale
Humane Society!
Anderson’s Pet Shop (2218
Honolulu Avenue) is where our Wags-N-Whiskers walk begins. Registration opens
at 9am and the walk kicks off at 10am. Bring your furry friends to participate.
This is a great opportunity for you and your pets to get out and enjoy the
community. All proceeds benefit the Glendale Humane Society.
The Wild Wonders Exotic
Petting Zoo brings unique creatures to the middle of Honolulu Avenue with an
educational, hands-on show. Show times are 10:30AM, 11:30AM, and 12:30PM. Following
the 11:30AM show, there will be a children’s fashion show featuring clothes
from It Takes a Village, Revelation Tops, Village Boutique and more!
In the Kids Fun Zone, there
will be awesome bounce-able attractions, a climbing wall, petting zoo and
hand-led pony rides.
Meet the Glendale Police
S.W.A.T. team, local fire department, Rescue and CV Sheriff’s personnel in the
First Responders Arena.
At the Taste of Montrose,
you’ll be able to sink your taste buds in a delectable array of flavors from
our many diverse restaurants. All ticket sales benefit Crescenta Valley High Prom
Plus.
The Young Entrepreneurs will
be displaying handcrafted, locally sourced goods for sale near Montrose Travel,
and there will be live music from the Trio Capri mariachi band to kick off the
week for Cinco de Mayo.
This is a wonderful time to
experience Montrose with your family, friends (and furry friends included).
Montrose is one of the friendliest dog towns in California. As an added bonus, many
of our shops and restaurants will be open for business. Take a stroll along the
scenic Honolulu Avenue and and bring your appetite!
